’8 Out of 10 Cats’ set for second ‘Countdown’ special

Channel 4 is set to air a second edition of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The comedy panel show had previously merged with the mathematical day time programme in January as part of Channel 4′s Mash Up.

Jimmy Carr, who recently owned up to his tax aversion on the programme, is set to host the special programme with team captins Sean Lock and Jon Richardson.

Irish stand-up comic David O’Doherty will join Countdown regular Susie Dent in Dictionary Corner, while Rachel Riley will receive “a little help” from comedian Joe Wilkinson on numbers and letters.

The new 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown will air as part of the Channel 4′s Funny Fortnight set to air throughout August.
